You can make anything by writing. - C.S. Lewis
Storytelling has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child I had an overactive imagination. Growing up in Alaska, the woods that were my backyard fed my creativity, and I created worlds and imaginary friends. A nearby mountain became a sleeping dragon, and a dead-end gravel road a hidden entrance to a hidden magical grove.
My love for writing began in third grade with short stories, and in fourth grade I won a schoolwide poetry contest, but I never got over my imaginary friends and my overactive imagination continues to feed me. So naturally, after many years including numerous nonfiction essays and articles, I came back to my first love of fiction.
